 Sie scheidet.  Wie der Mutter Abschiedsblick  
Auf's Kind mit ihrer tiefsten Liebe siehet,   
So grüßt sie mit dem schönsten Licht zurück
Zur Erd', wenn zögernd sie von hinnen ziehet.

Die Erde ruft manch liebes Wort ihr nach.
Es rauscht der Baum den letzten Strahl entgegen,
Es zieht ihr nach der Nachtigallen Schlag,
Als dankten sie für allen ihren Segen.

Ell diu adéu. Tal com l’esguard de comiat de la mare
que contempla l’infant amb l’amor més profund,
així, amb la llum més formosa, ell saluda la terra
quan, hesitant, marxa d’aquí.

La terra crida mantes paraules dolces al seu devers.
L’arbre remoreja a l’encontre del seu darrer raig,
el segueix el cant del rossinyol,
com si agraïssin totes les seves benediccions.
