Ειδέs εαρ, χειμωνα, θερος, ταυτ'εστι διὸλου
ηλιος αυτος εδυ, και νυζ τα τεταγμεν απεχει
μη κοπια ζητειν ποθεν ηλιος η ποθεν υδορ,
αλλα ποθεν το μυρον και τους στεφανους αγορασης.
Αυλει μοι.

Κρηνας αυτορυτους μελιτος τρεις ηθελον εχειν, 
πεντε γαλακτορυτους, οινου δεκα, δωδεκα μυρου, 
και δυο πηγαιων υδατων και τρεις χιονεων
παιδα κατα κρηνην και παρθενον ηθελον εχειν.
Αυλει μοι.

Λυδιος αυλος εμοι τα δε Λυδια παιγματα λυρας,
και Φρυγιος καλαμος τα δε ταυρεα τυμπανα πονειτ
αυτα ζων ασαι τ'έαμαι, και, οταν αποθανο
αυλον υπερ κεφαλης θετε μοι, παρα ποσσι δε λυραν.
