Morgenlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FIN
Dir, du Quell' von Huld und Segen,
eilt der erste Blick entgegen;
Augen, Hände, Herzen streben
rein zu dir sich zu erheben,
dessen Flügel uns bedeckt,
der durch Ruh' uns labt und weckt.

Nimm mit Vaters Wohlgefallen,
Vater, deiner Kinder lallen,
nimm in dieser Morgenstunde
Dank vom Herzen, Dank vom Munde,
die anbetend zu dir nahn,
duldend, liebend, segnend an.

Was wir kindlich heut begehren,
willst du väterlich gewähren;
Gutes mehr als wir verlangen,
dir, der unerschöpflich giebt
mehr uns, als wir selber, liebt.

Aamulaulu
Language: Finnish (Suomi)  after the German (Deutsch)
Kohti sinua, armon ja siunauksen lähdettä,
katson ensimmäiseksi herätessäni;
Silmät, kädet ja sydän pyrkivät
puhtaina kohoamaan kohti sinua,
joka siivilläsi suojaat meitä,
annat levon virkistykseksi ja aamulla herätät.

Isä, ota isällisen hyväntahtoisesti vastaan
lastesi vajavainen jokellus,
ota tänä aamuhetkenä vastaan
kiitos, joka tulee sydämestä ja suusta,
jotka lähestyvät sinua hartaasti rukoillen,
ota se vastaan kärsivällisenä rakastaen ja siunaten.

Sen mitä tänään lapsen lailla pyydämme,
sen sinä isällisesti suot meille;
enemmän hyvää, kuin edes osaamme anoa
sinulta, joka väsymättä annat
ja rakastat meitä enemmän kuin me itse.
