Glück wie Musik zerronnen,
Schmerz im Madonnengesicht,
Daseins bittere Wonnen...

Blüten vom Sturm gefegt,
Kränze auf Gräber gelegt,
Heiterkeit ohne Dauer,
Stern, der ins Dunkel fällt:
Schleier von Schönheit und Trauer
Über dem Abgrund der Welt.

Poema de l’iris,
encís de la llum morent,
felicitat que s’esvaeix com la música,
dolor en el rostre de la Madona,
l’amarg delit de l’existència...

Flors arrossegades per la tempesta,
corones col·locades a les tombes,
joia sense durada,
estrella que cau en la foscúria:
vels de beutat i de tristor
damunt l’abisme del món.
