by Edwin Bormann (1851 - 1912)

Familienbild
Language: German (Deutsch)
Das Hänschen spricht: "Wär' ich der Vater,
Dann nähm' ich einen Sack voll Gold
Und kauft' ein Kasperletheater.
Sag', Klärchen, wie dir das gefällt!"

Nesthäkchen muss sich erst bedenken,
Dann ruft es kinderselig aus,
"Ich wollte mir was bessres schenken:
Das grösste, schönste Puppenhaus!"

"Und eurem Bruder Gymnasiasten
Kauft' ich, wenn ich der Vater wär',
Die Meerschaumpfeife mit dem Quasten" --
Brummt's hinter dem Horatius her.

Schön Käthchen sitzt mit heissen Wangen,
Sie lächelt still in's Buch hinein.
An's Ziel der Wünsche zu gelangen --
Was nützt es ihr, Papa zu sein?
