Wieder die Amseln singen,
Warte, dann soll auch wieder in Lied
Von unserer Liebe klingen!
 
Warte, dann schwingen ein Lied wir hinaus
In die grüßende Ferne,
Unserer Seele sehnend Haus,
In die goldenen Sterne!
 
Warte, dann wandern wir über die Flut,
Wo die Sorgen schweigen,
Alle Nöte irdischer Spur
Sich dem Ewigen neigen!
 
Warte, wie wird es so balde sein!
Horch, die Amseln singen!
Schon erblüht Blauveilchen klein,
Und die Herzen klingen!

Of our love ring out!
 
Wait -- then we shall swing forth a song
Into the distance that greets [us],
To the yearning house of our soul,
Into the golden stars!
 
Wait -- then we shall wander over the waters
Where anxieties fall silent,
All hardships of an earthly nature
Bow down before the eternal!
 
Wait, how soon it shall be!
Listen, the blackbirds are singing!
The little blue violet is already bursting into flower,
And hearts are ringing!
