by Bernhard von Lepel (1818 - 1885)

Zum tiefsten Waldesgrunde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Zum tiefsten Waldesgrunde
  Eil' ich auf leisem Fuß,
Still ist's in weiter Runde --
  Da winkt's mit holdem Gruß.

Zu traulichem Gemache
Webt rings sich Strauch an Strauch,
Der Baum hebt sich zum Dache
  Umwallt vom Blüthenhauch.

Dort wo die Schatten sich wiegen
Lauscht kaum der Sonne Licht --
Ihr Blätter, seid verschwiegen!
  Ihr Halme flüstert nicht!
