Souvent le serment retentit Souvent aussi, il fut tenu, Mais seulement dans un sens étroit, ancien. Ô son sens nouveau! Apprenez donc à le reconnaître ! Laissez donc sa flamme brûlante pénétrer en vous ! Être tous frères ! Les aider, servir tous ! Depuis qu'il est apparu, c'est son seul but ! Même le scélérat qui nous répugne ! Lui aussi fut un jour tissé de lumière. « Aimez le mal --bien ! » enseignent de profonds esprits. Devant la haine, apprenez à endurcir le courage de l'amour ! « Frères ! » écoutez ce mot ! Pour qu'il devienne vérité et qu'un jour la terre soit la place de Dieu.
