Translation by Thor Næve Lange (1851 - 1915)

Skin ud, du klare Solskin
Language: Danish (Dansk)  after the German (Deutsch)
Skin ud, du klare Solskin
og før os Vaaren til
og før to Elskende sammen,
som gerne tilsammen vil.

Hen over høje Bjerge
der ligger dyben Sne.
Den kan ej tø, ej smelte,
før Gud det lader ske.

Se, Gud lod Sneen smelte;
nu grønnes det fjernt og nær.
Krist glæde Fader og Moder;
jeg gaar til min Hjertenskær.

Confirmed with Thor Lange, Nogle Folkeviser, Gyldendalske Boghandels Forlag, Kbh., 1878, p. 66.
