Waldlied

Wenn der Frühling naht
und auf jedem Pfad
bunte Blumen blühen mannigfalt,
lockt es laut hinaus
aus dem stillen Haus
in den grünen, grünen Tannenwald!

Wenn das Sonnenlicht
durch die Zweige bricht,
o wie schön ist's da im dunkeln Wald,
wo das Eichhorn springt
und die Drossel singt,
und des Kuckucks Ruf dazwischen hallt!

Und im Waldrevier
naht die Liebe mir
in des Jägermädchens Huldgestalt,
und das schöne Lied
wecket im Gemüt
mir dein Zauber, o geliebter Wald!
