'Wat spin je?' vroeg eens buurman Rein, Toen hij ons laatst bezoek bracht. 'Jouw wieltje loopt, ja, als een trein, Zeg op, waarvoor je 't goed acht; Doe liever mee, bij ons aan 't spel!' 'Heer Rein, ik wil hier blijven, Ik kan heus, je mag 't weten wel, Ook zo mijn tijd verdrijven.' 'Wat heb 'k aan mannen?', is mijn vraag. 'Men kent toch jullie kuren, Je plaagt en schertst en legt heel graag De meisjes in de luren. Je windt hen op, zoveel je kunt, Je wilt hun bloed verhitten, Je drijft het spel tot 'n hoogtepunt En laat hen dan mooi zitten. Men doet als is er niets verspild Aan 'n simpel meisjeszieltje; Ga weg en gein maar waar je wilt, Ik houd het bij mijn wieltje. Ga weg, je brengt alleen chagrijn!
