Schneeglöckchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE
Die Sonne sah die Erde an,
Es ging ein milder Wind,
Und plötzlich stand Schneeglöckchen da,
Das fremde blasse Kind.

Und plötzlich brach mit Pomp und Braus
Der alte Winter auf,
Die Wolken eilten pfeilgeschwind
Zum dunklen Nord hinauf.

Eisscholle lief, Schneeflocke schmolz,
Die Stürme heulten drein,
Schneeglöckchen stand gesenkten Haupts
In dem Gewühl allein.

Ei komm! Du weißes Schwesterlein,
Wie lange willst du stehn?
Der Winter ruft, das Reich ist aus,
Wir müssen nach Hause gehn!

Und was nur rings auf Erden trägt
Die weiße Liverei,
Das schürze sich, das tummle sich
Zur Abfahrt schnell herbei!

Schneeglöckchen sah sich bebend an
Und dachte halb im Traum:
»Was soll um Winters Liverei
Der grüne, grüne Saum?

Wob ihn wohl um das weiße Kleid
Des Winters rauhe Hand?
Wo komm' ich her? wo geh' ich hin?
Wo ist mein Vaterland?«

Sneeuwklokje
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
De zon keek op de aarde neer,
Er woei een zoele wind,
En plots'ling stond sneeuwklokje daar,
Een vreemd en bleekwit kind.

En plots'ling brak met groot vertoon
De oude winter op,
De wolken ijlden pijlsnel heen
Naar 't donker noord non-stop.

IJsschol verschoof, sneeuwvlokje smolt,
Daar stormgehuil doorheen,
Sneeuwklokje stond, het hoofd omlaag,
In het geweld alleen.

Hallo! Jij, witte zusje klein,
Hoe lang blijf jij nog staan?
De winter roept, zijn rijk is uit,
Wij moeten naar huis toe gaan!

Al wat rondom op aarde draagt
Livrei met witte sier,
Dat moet heel vlug zich maken klaar
Om weg te gaan van hier!

En bevend zag zich 't sneeuwklokje
En dacht, in droom zowat,
"Wat moet bij 's winters witte sier
Mijn groene, groene blad?

Weefde dat wel rondom mijn wit
Des winters ruwe hand?
Waar kom 'k vandaan? Waar ga ik heen?
Waar is mijn vaderland?"
