La mer, avec son front couvert de glace sur la plage soupire de langueur et repose de ses voyages. Des bateaux à l'ancre, voiles affalées, songent, ô puissions-nous être ensemble, tous deux, puissions-nous être ensemble, tous deux ! La neige est tombée, a tourbillonné et peint une image fantastique, là-bas dans le bois noir. Des animaux se faufilent, des espèces d'ombres s'agitent. Était-ce la trace de tes pas ? Ô non, la trace de tes pas ? Ô non ! Tu perds courage, le givre étreint une branche, tu te lèves enchantée. Mais j'ose forcer le voile et avancer dans le monde où tu rêves, où tu rêves.
