Zwei Lieder für 1 Singstimme mit Pianoforte , opus 23

by Hermann Erler

1. Heimweh  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Schied auch die Muschel lange schon
Vom Meer, das ihre Heimat war --
In ihrer Tiefe rauscht ein Ton
Wie Meeresheimweh immerdar.

Und kann auch nie ein Herz zurück
Zum Herzen, dran es selig lag --
Es singt von dem verlornen Glück
Noch bis zu seinem letzten Schlag.

  • by Georg Scherer (1824 - 1909), "Heimweh", appears in Gedichte von Georg Scherer, in 3. Drittes Buch
