2. Nachtbild
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Seerose wiegt sich im süßem Traum;
ihr träumt von einem schönen Stern,
der über ihr im blauen Raum
leuchtet so fern, so himmelfern.

Der Stern giesst mild sein Lilienlicht
hernieder in ihr stilles Weh,
und ahnt in seiner Höhe nicht
den sel'gen Traum der Ros' im See.

Text Authorship:

  • by Carl Gärtner (1821 - 1875), "Nachtbild", appears in Gedichte, in Lieder

5. Liederfrühling
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ein goldner Lieederfrühling
bricht kühn aus meiner Brust,
dass ich vergehen möchte
vor lauter Lieb' und Lust.
Mit solchem stillen Wehen,
mit solcher Himmelspracht,
mit so viel Wunderblumen
hat Lenz mir nie gelacht.

Wohin mit deinem Blühen,
o Lenz so wunderschön?
Du wirst vor lauten Blühen
am Ende noch vergehn.
Und muss ich auch vergehen
und muss ich auch verblühn,
ich blühe für die Eine,
und muss für sie verblühn.
