Tunturilauluja III

by Yrjö Henrik Kilpinen (1892 - 1959)

1. Vanha kirkko
 (Sung text)

Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Vanha kirkko yksin erämaassa:
lasit rikki, ovet tuskin haassa,
torni huojuu, vettä vuotaa katto,
harjaa peittää tumma sammalmatto.

Vanha kirkko muistaa nuoruuttansa,
jolloin penkit täytti harras kansa.
Silloin kaikui vuoroin saarna, virsi,
murtui joskus synnin synkkä kirsi.

Vanha kirkko on nyt yksinäinen,
niin kuin äiti nöyrä, nyyhkiväinen.
Nurmen alla seurakunta maatuu,
vanhus vuottaa, milloin itse kaatuu.

2. Kirkkorannassa
 (Sung text)

Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Tule, aaltonen, kirkkorantaan,
tule unhosta ulappain!
Lyö merkkisi hienoon santaan
kuin muistoksi unelmain!

Tule, tuulen saattoa kiitä!
suvivirsi nyt huminoi.
Sä siihen laulusi liitä,
soi, aaltonen ulapan, soi!

3. Suvilaulu
 (Sung text)

Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Jopa joutuikin suvi armaisin,
kesä kaunoinen kera keijusten.
Valo valtaisin läpi öidenkin
teki lämmöllään ikiihmeitään.

Tuli kukkaan maa, tuli niittyin taa sulolaulelmain,
olo onnekkain, olo onnekkain.
Ilo kukkain on, ilo linmuston,
ilo vuoren, vuon, ilo järven, suon,
ilo kaiken maan, mitä katsonkaan;
sama puhtojsin ilo taivaankin.

Jopa joutuikin kesä armahin,
kesä kaunoinen kera keijusten.
