Två sånger

Song Cycle by Moses Pergament (1893 - 1977)

1. Kväll i skogen  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Nu sjunker soln vid skogens rand
och skymningssuset saktar,
du hjärta, som till fjärran land
och fjärran lycka traktar,
se, hur i ro nu hvarje gren
och hvarje grässtrå domna.
Hvi hjärta skälfver du allen,
när alla bladen somna?

Du pockar, att en salighet
hvar stund skall dig beskära,
och väntans visa ödmjukhet
vill aldrig den du lära?
I sömn den stora skogen lugnt
nu bidar gryningsstrimman.
Du hjärta, som än slår så tungt
tag rast till morgontimman.
