Sie blüht und glüht und leuchtet

Do esplendor do sol,
E, cabisbaixa e sonhadora,
Espera pela noite.

A lua é o seu amante,
Desperta-a com a sua luz,
E revela-lhe amigavelmente
A sua inocente face de flor.

Ela floresce e arde e irradia,
E olha em silêncio para o alto,
Perfuma e chora e estremece
Com o amor e os desgostos de amor.
