Sie blüht und glüht und leuchtet
Und starret stumm in die Höh';

Davant l'esplendor del Sol,
I amb el cap inclinat
Espera somiant la nit.

La lluna és el seu amant,
Ell la desperta amb la seva llum,
I per ell ella es treu el vel amablement
Del seu pietós rostre de flor .

Ella floreix i crema i brilla
I mira fixament callada cap amunt;
Ella desprèn olors i plora i tremola,
Davant l'amor i el turment de l'amor.
