Face à l'éclat du soleil,

L'astre lunaire, son amant,
De sa lumière la réveille,
Et, souriante elle lui dévoile
Son gracieux visage floral,

Elle fleurit, et brille, et éclaire,
Et silencieusement regarde vers le ciel ;
Elle embaume, et pleure, et frissonne
D'amour et du mal d'aimer.
