όλα τ’ αγάπησα με μέθη δεν τ’ αγαπώ πια
δεν αγαπώ παρά μόνο εκείνη
την τόσο χαριτωμένη, την τόσο αγνή, την τόσο όμορφη!
Εκείνη μόνο, πηγή κάθε αγάπης,
είναι για μένα το ρόδο, το κρίνο, το περιστέρι, ο ήλιος
δεν αγαπώ παρά μόνο εκείνη εκείνη μόνο
την τόσο χαριτωμένη, την τόσο αγνή, την τόσο όμορφη.
