Ruusu, lilja, kyyhky ja aurinko, 
niitä kaikkia minä ennen rakastin koko sydämestäni. 
En minä enää niitä rakasta, minä rakastan vain 
sitä pientä, somaa, puhdasta ainokaistani; 
sillä hän itse on rakkauden täyttymys, 
hän on ruusuni, liljani, kyyhkyni ja aurinkoni.
