French (Français) translations of Zwei Lieder, opus 4

by Carl Ludwig Fischer (1816 - 1877)

1. Neue Liebe
 (Sung text)
by Carl Ludwig Fischer (1816 - 1877), "Neue Liebe", op. 4 (Zwei Lieder) no. 2
Language: German (Deutsch)
Durch den Wald im Mondenscheine
Sah ich jüngst die Elfen reiten;
Ihre Hörner hört' ich klingen,
Ihre Glöckchen hört' ich läuten.

Ihre weißen Rößlein trugen
Güldnes Hirschgeweih und flogen
Rasch dahin; wie wilde Schwäne
Kam es durch die Luft gezogen.

Lächelnd nickte mir die Königin,
Lächelnd im Vorüberreiten.
Galt das meiner neuen Liebe,
Oder soll es Tod bedeuten?

Language: French (Français)
Dans la forêt, au clair de lune,
J'ai vu récemment chevaucher les elfes ;
J'entendais retentir leurs cors
Et tinter leurs clochettes.

Leurs blancs poulains portaient
Des cors dorés de cerf et volaient
Rapidement, pareils à des cygnes sauvages
Passant dans les airs.

Souriante, la reine me fit un signe
Souriante, passant sur son cheval.
Cela figurait-il un nouvel amour,
Ou bien un présage de mort ?
