by Friedrich Hieronymus Truhn (1811 - 1886)

Return to the original list

1. Die Heimkehr  [sung text not yet checked]
by Friedrich Hieronymus Truhn (1811 - 1886), "Die Heimkehr", op. 67 (Elegische Poesieen), Heft 2 no. 5 [ soprano or tenor with piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Am fernen Horizonte
Erscheint, wie ein Nebelbild,
Die Stadt mit ihren Thürmen,
In Abenddämmrung gehüllt.

Ein feuchter Windzug kräuselt
Die graue Wasserbahn;
Mit traurigem Tacte rudert
Der Schiffer in meinem Kahn.

Die Sonne hebt sich noch einmal
Leuchtend vom Boden empor,
Und zeigt mir jene Stelle,
Wo ich das Liebste verlor.

1. Grįžimas namo
Language: Lithuanian (Lietuvių kalba)
Tolimame horizonte
Lyg rūko paveikslas išnyra
Miestas su savo bokštais,
Apgaubtas vakaro sutemų.

Drėgnas vėjas garbanoja
Pilką upės vagą;
Liūdnu ritmu irkluoja
Valtininkas mano valtį.

Saulė pakyla dar kartą
Atsispindėdama nuo paviršiaus,
Ir rodo man tą vietą,
Kur aš praradau mylimąją.
