Italian (Italiano) translations of Zwei Schilflieder, opus 15

by Wilhelm Moritz Vogel (1846 - 1922)

Return to the original list

1. Auf geheimem Waldespfade  [sung text not yet checked]
by Wilhelm Moritz Vogel (1846 - 1922), "Auf geheimem Waldespfade", op. 15 (Zwei Schilflieder) no. 1, published 1874 [ duet for 2 low voices with piano ], Leipzig, Kahnt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Auf geheimem Waldespfade
Schleich' ich gern im Abendschein
An das öde Schilfgestade,
Mädchen, und gedenke dein!

Wenn sich dann der Busch verdüstert,
Rauscht das Rohr geheimnisvoll,
Und es klaget und es flüstert,
Daß ich weinen, weinen soll.

Und ich mein', ich höre wehen
Leise deiner Stimme Klang,
Und im Weiher untergehen
Deinen lieblichen Gesang.

1. Canto del canneto

e nello stagno sembra affondare
la tua soave canzone.

2. Auf dem Teich dem Regungslosen  [sung text not yet checked]
by Wilhelm Moritz Vogel (1846 - 1922), "Auf dem Teich dem Regungslosen", op. 15 (Zwei Schilflieder) no. 2, published 1874 [ duet for 2 low voices with piano ], Leipzig, Kahnt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Auf dem Teich, dem Regungslosen,
Weilt des Mondes holder Glanz,
Flechtend seine bleichen Rosen
In des Schilfes grünen Kranz.

Hirsche wandeln dort am Hügel,
Blicken [in]1 die Nacht empor;
Manchmal regt sich das Geflügel
Träumerisch im tiefen Rohr.

Weinend muß mein Blick sich senken;
Durch die tiefste Seele geht
Mir ein süßes Deingedenken,
Wie ein stilles Nachtgebet.

2. Sullo stagno, senza un'onda
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Sullo stagno, senza un'onda,
posa il chiaro della luna,
le sue pallide rose tesse
fra le canne in verde corona.

Cervi vagano sul colle,
levano lo sguardo nella notte,
qualche uccello si agita, in sogno,
nel profondo del canneto.

Piangendo debbo abbassare lo sguardo;
Mi attraversa il fondo dell'animo
il pensiero dolce di te,
come una silenziosa preghiera notturna.
