Auf dem Teich, dem Regungslosen, Weilt des Mondes holder Glanz, Flechtend seine bleichen Rosen In des Schilfes grünen Kranz. Hirsche wandeln dort am Hügel, Blicken in die Nacht empor; Manchmal regt sich das Geflügel Träumerisch im tiefen Rohr.
