Lord, with your grace and goodness 
surround me like a wall,
embrace and keep me safely,
and my beloved all.
With you, Lord, we find comfort,
ev’n in the bleakest night,
the strongest, like the weakest,
we ask, hold in your sight:

Just how the stars above us
now glitter in the sky,
keep you, Lord, now above us
your gentle father’s-eye.
And as the night’s wind rushes
refreshing through the vale,
may heart and home be filled with
your spirit’s healing gale.

Accept it when we thank you
in our imperfect ways,
that you, who never falters,
stayed with us all our days.
Send down upon our slumber
your blessings like the dew,
then, joyfully tomorrow,
we see Your light anew!
