En el Rin, el santo río,
se refleja en las ondas
con su gran bóveda
la grande y sacra catedral de Colonia.

En la catedral hay un cuadro
pintado sobre cuero dorado:
en el desierto de mi vida
ha sido un rayo de luz.

Se ven flores y angelitos suspendidos
en derredor de Nuestra Señora:
los ojos, los labios, las mejillas,
son iguales a los de mi amada.
