Canções das Mortes das Crianças

Song Cycle by Gustav Mahler (1860 - 1911)

Word count: 433
Original language: Kindertotenlieder
1. Nun will die Sonn' so hell aufgehn [sung text checked 1 time]
Nun will die Sonn' so hell aufgehn,

1. Agora o sol quer nascer tão brilhante
Agora o sol quer nascer tão brilhante,

2. Nun seh' ich wohl, warum so dunkle Flammen [sung text checked 1 time]

Gewoben vom verblendenden Geschicke,

Tu querias me dizer com tuas luzes:

3. Wenn dein Mütterlein [sung text checked 1 time]
Wenn dein Mütterlein
tritt zur Tür herein,
Und den Kopf ich drehe,
ihr entgegen sehe,
Fällt auf ihr Gesicht
erst der Blick mir nicht,
Sondern auf die Stelle,
näher nach der Schwelle,
Dort, wo würde dein
lieb Gesichten sein,
Wenn du freudenhelle
trätest mit herein,
Wie sonst, mein Töchterlein.

Wenn dein Mütterlein
tritt zur Tür herein,
Mit der Kerze Schimmer,
ist es mir, als immer
Kämst du mit herein,
huschtest hinterdrein,
Als wie sonst ins Zimmer!
O du, des Vaters Zelle,
Ach, zu schnell
erloschner Freudenschein!

3. Quando tua mãezinha
Quando tua mãezinha
entra pela porta
E eu viro a cabeça
olhando em sua direção,
Não é sobre seu rosto
que recai o meu olhar
E sim no local
próximo ao batente
Lá, onde estaria
teu lindo rostinho,
Quando tu, iluminada de alegrias,
Entravas junto,
Como outrora, minha filhinha.

Quando tua mãezinha
entra pela porta
Com o brilho de uma vela
para mim, é como se sempre
Tu entrasses junto
escondida atrás dela,
Como outrora no quarto.
Ó tu, célula do pai,
Ah, brilho de alegria
que foi apagado rápido demais.

Eles apenas continuaram a andar,
E não irão mais voltar pra casa.
Nós os alcançaremos naquelas colinas,
sob o brilho do sol, o dia está lindo naquelas colinas.

5. In diesem Wetter [sung text checked 1 time]
In diesem Wetter, in diesem Braus,
Nie hätt' ich gesendet die Kinder hinaus;
Man hat sie getragen hinaus,
Ich durfte nichts dazu sagen!

In diesem Wetter, in diesem Saus,
Nie hätt' ich gelassen die Kinder hinaus,
Ich fürchtete sie erkranken;
Das sind nun eitle Gedanken.

In diesem Wetter, in diesem Graus,
Nie hätt' ich gelassen die Kinder hinaus;
Ich sorgte, sie stürben morgen,
Das ist nun nicht zu besorgen.

In diesem Wetter, in diesem Graus!
Nie hätt' ich gesendet die Kinder hinaus!
Man hat sie hinaus getragen,
ich durfte nichts dazu sagen!

In diesem Wetter, in diesem Saus, in diesem Braus,

5. Nesse tempo
Nesse tempo, nesse vendaval,
Eu nunca mandaria as crianças para fora;
Eles foram levados para fora,
Eu não pude falar nada!

Nesse tempo, nessa tempestade,
Eu nunca deixaria as crianças saírem,
Eu tinha medo que elas ficassem doentes;
Agora, isso são pensamentos vãos.

Nesse tempo, nessa tormenta,
Eu nunca teria deixado as crianças saírem;

Nesse tempo, nessa tormenta,
Eu nunca mandaria as crianças para fora!
Eles foram levados para fora,
Eu não pude falar nada!

Nesse tempo, nesse vendaval, nessa tormenta
