Крізь шиби невиразно чуть,

Як краплї дощеві падуть, 
Важкі мов ртуть. 

І в двері чути легкий стук:

Таємний, добре знаний звук 
Незримих рук. 

Хто йде? -- питаюсь мов зі сна -- 
„То я, то я,
Твоя товаришка давна,
