Die Mutter sitzt in der Kinder Kreis, Nun schweiget alles auf ihr Geheiß, Sie singet des Christkinds Lob und Preis, Und rings vom Weihnachtsbaum erhellt, Ist schön in Bildern aufgestellt Des [heil'gen]1 Buches Palmenwelt.
