Tu danzi, Egle, con languide misure.
E a te candida e bionda tra li ninfe,
D'ilari ambagi descrivendo il verde,
Sotto i segreti ombracoli del verde,
Ove la più inquïeta ombra s'attrista,
Perle squillanti e liquido ametista
Volge la gioia roca delle linfe.

Aigle
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Italian (Italiano) 
In dichtem Laube steht der Wald und schwer von Früchten,
die Flüsse wandeln sich in weiße Blüten und Saphir:
Unter den grünen Bögen kreist eine verlassene Seele
in düsterem Reigen um fahle Feuer.
Wie die klaren Quellen des Lebens,
in Sonn’licht und flackernde Schatten gekleidet,
tanzest du, Aigle, in trägem Takt.
Und nahe dir, hellweiß und blond zwischen Nymphen,
in heiterem Schweifen das Blattwerk nachzeichnend,
unter des Laubes Schattengeheimnis,
wo der rastloseste Schatten trauert,
in schimmernden Perlen und flüssigen Kristallen
fließt der Lymphen raue Freude.
