I walked in a storm
Out and away from my beloved,
In a stormy embrace
I shall someday return home!

Ye storms were the witness
At the blessed spot,
In a roundelay ye still bear
Her loving word,
The word is mine,
Ye carried it away from me,
The word, ah, the one word,
The blessed word!
