Julinacht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
In der Luft, der schwülen feuchten,
Wogt das Feld, und stürmend ziehn
Windesrauschen, Wetterleuchten
Durch den dunklen Himmel hin.

Ferne hallt des Donners Dröhnen --
Und des Lebens ganze Kraft
Klingt aus diesen Wundertönen
Nachtumwölkter Leidenschaft!

Was der Tag an Sonnengluten
Aufgesogen, strömt hier aus --
In den Wolken, auf den Fluten,
In dies weite Grün hinaus!

Und inmitten all' des Webens
Trag' ich stumm die heiße Last,
Die du, Sonne meines Lebens,
In dies Herz ergossen hast!
