Bon ange, puisque Dieu l'a dit ;
Et chaque nuit, quand je sommeille
Penchez-vous sur mon petit lit.
Ayez pitié de ma faiblesse ;
A mes côtés marchez sans cesse,
Parlez-moi le long du chemin ;
Et pendant que je vous écoute,
De peur que je ne tombe en route,
Bon ange, donnez-moi la main.
