Novemberstimmung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Die Flur umher
Es kalt durchweht,
Wo nirgend mehr
Ein Blümlein steht.

Im Wald zerstiebt
Das welke Laub --
Die ich geliebt,
Sind alle Staub.

Sich frühe neigt
Der Sonne Lauf,
Am Himmel steigt
Der Mond herauf.

Es füllt sich sacht
Das Sternenzelt.
Sie sind erwacht
In jener Welt.

November mood
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
It blows coldly through
The meadow round about,
Where not one little flower
Stands any longer.

In the forest the withered
Foliage is scattered --
Those whom I loved
Are all dust.

The sun's pathway
Leads downward early,
Upon the heavens
The moon rises.

The canopy of the stars
Fills itself gently.
They have awakened
In that other world.
