When from out of crimson and gold,
Peaceful, serious, and lovely, you spread yourself out smoothly,
You glowing blue of the late sky!
 
You remind us of a blue lake
Upon which happiness anchors
For blessed rest. From the oar falls
The last drop of earthly pain.
