 Ich hab' mein Herz verloren
 Wohl in dem grünen Mai,
 Und Keine will mir sagen,
 Wo's nun geblieben sei.

 Ihr schmucken Dirnen alle,
 Nun Eine hat es doch,
 Und habt ihr's nicht gefunden,
 So liegt's im Grase noch.

 Und wenn es liegt im Grase,
 So liegt's auf kühler Streu,
 Und wenn ihr mäht die Wiesen,
 So schneidet's nicht entzwei.
