Die Morgenröth' ist nur ein Wiederschein
Von seines Kleides Saum;
Und gegen seinen Glanz ist Dämmerung 
Der Sonne flammend Licht.

Er sieht mit gnäd'gem Blick zur Erd' herab:
Sie grünet, blüht und lacht.
Er schilt: es fähret Feur vom Felsen auf,
Und Meer und Himmel bebt.

Lobt den gewaltigen, den großen Herrn,
Ihr Lichter seiner Burg!
Ihr Sonnenheere! flammt zu seinem Ruhm!
Ihr Erden, singt sein Lob!

Gran és el Senyor! Els cels sense nombre
són les estances del seu castell;
el seu carruatge és la tempesta i els núvols
que retronen i el llamp el seu tronc.

L’aurora és només un reflex
de l’orla del seu vestit
i, davant la seva esplendor, la llum
flamejant del sol és tan sols un crepuscle.

Ell contempla la terra amb un benigne esguard
i ella verdeja, floreix i somriu.
Ell amonesta i brolla foc de les roques
i el mar i el cel tremolen.

Lloeu el Totpoderós, el Senyor benigne,
vosaltres llums del seu castell!
Vosaltres legions del sol! Flamegeu per la seva glòria,
vosaltres terres, canteu les seves lloances!
