Wie zwei Kätzchen, die die Milch erwarten...
Auf der Treppe sitzt mein Herz und harret,
Wie ein Geistchen, Kinn in Hand gestützet.

Doch der Bote mit den Briefen kommt nicht.
Taub und ohne Seele drin im Zimmer lieg ich. 
Wünsche nichts zurück zu haben.
Nicht die rosa Kätzchen, nicht das Geistchen."
