Ganz von seinem Schauerlicht umflossen,
Und ich dämmert' ein;

Träumte da von vollen goldnen Stunden
Ungemischter Lust,
Hatte ganz dein liebes Bild empfunden
Tief in meiner Brust.

Nun nicht auf der Flur:
Wo du, Engel, bist, ist Lieb' und Güte,
