Puis qu’aujourdhuy pour me donner confort
(Sung text for setting by J. de Maletty)
 Matches original text
Language: French (Français)
Our translations:  ENG
Puis qu’aujourd’huy, pour me donner confort,
De ses cheveux ma maistresse me donne,

Son col de lait blondement ne décore ;

Note: in the de Maletty score, stanza 3 line 2 word 4 is a typo ("fait" instead of "lait").

Composition:

Set to music by Jean de Maletty (flourished 16th century), "Puis qu’aujourdhuy pour me donner confort" [ vocal quartet ], note: only one voice-part currently exists
