Mohnblümchen
 (Sung text for setting by R. Baldamus)
 See base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT
Still, wie still -- 's ist Mitternacht schon,
Drunten beim Fenster duftet der Mohn,
Duftet so leise, man merkt es kaum,
Schläfert mein Kind in tiefen Traum4.

Liese, kleine Liese, thu's Beinchen hinein,
Kuckt durch das Fenster der Mondenschein,
Sagt es den Bäumen, die draußen stehn,
Daß er dein nacktes Beinchen gesehn.

Früh, wenn der Wind kommt, schwatzen sie's aus,
Hört es der Spatz und die Katz' aus dem Haus;
Lachen die Blumen allesamt sehr,
Weil unsre Liese ein Strampelchen wär'.
