Słyszałem ciebie
(Sung text for setting by K. Szymanowski)
 See original
Language: Polish (Polski)
Słyszałem ciebie... Zdało mi się może,
lecz głos twój dzwonił mi chwilę w przestworze,
podobny woni, ziół i kwiatów echu,
co w przestrzeń leci w powietrznym oddechu.

Może bez wiedzy twej, we śnie, w odległy
kraj ku mnie myśli twe cicho pobiegły,
jak ... jaskółki, co niekiedy wrócą
zobaczyć ... gniazda, które rzucą.

Composition:

Set to music by Karol Maciej Szymanowski (1882 - 1937), "Słyszałem ciebie", op. 2 (Sześc pieśni) no. 5

Text Authorship:

  • by Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer (1865 - 1940), no title, appears in Erotyki
