Amaryllis
 (Sung text for setting by F. Kunzen)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich bin so krank, ick bin so trübe,
Ich gehe seufzend hin und her.
Wüßt' ich nur etwas von der Liebe,
So wüßt' ich, ob es Liebe wär.

Soll ich einmal die Mutter fragen?
Wie mach' ichs, daß sie sich entdeckt?
Die Mutter wird mir wenig sagen;
Sie ist ja immer so versteckt.

O, wenn doch Lycidas hier bliebe,
Der reisen will, und mir's verhehlt!
Er weiß so vieles von der Liebe;
Er würde sagen, was mir fehlt.
