O Stern im Meere,
Fürstin der Liebe,
Aller Betrübten Labung und Trost!
Wenn du mir lächelst,
Fürcht ich kein Unheil,
Alles ist heiter, Alles ist gut!
Höre mein Flehen,
Neige dein Antlitz,
Gib, meine Herrin, Frieden und Heil!

O Stern im Meere,
Mutter der Schmerzen,
Aller Bedrängten Hilfe und Trost!
Wenn du mich tröstest,
Trocknen die Thränen,
Schwindet all' Trübsal, schwindet all' Leid!
Höre mein Flehen,
Neige dein Antlitz,
Gib, meine Herrin, Frieden und Heil!

O Stern im Meere,
Pforte des Himmels,
Aller der Schiffer Hoffnung und Ziel!
Wenn du mir leuchtest,
Wenn du mich leitest,
Schweigen die Stürme, find' ich den Port.
Höre mein Flehen,
Neige dein Antlitz,
Gib, meine Herrin, Frieden und Heil!

Note: According to the above publication, the first stanza is by an anonymous poet, not by Muth. Other sources, however, suggest that Muth did write this stanza.
