Nacht
(Sung text for setting by H. Gál)

Language: German (Deutsch)
I.
Das ferne Rauschen selbst der Quellen
Verwehte längst und ging zur Ruh,
 Den silberroten Mondeswellen
Neigt sich die nächtige Blüte zu.

 Der weiße Flieder atmet leise,
 Süß über schwüle Rosenpracht
 Klingt eine wundersame Weise,
Und blau verdämmernd liegt die Nacht.
