Und vergessen allen Schmerz,
Und ich will mich fröhlich schwingen
Mit der Lerche himmelwärts.

Denn der Frühling hat mir wieder
Aufgethan mein reiches Herz,
Und so steigen meine Lieder
Mit den Lerchen himmelwärts.

Und es lauschen rings auf Erden
Knosp' und Blüthe, Stein und Erz:
Sollt' es dir nur kund nicht werden,
Wie dich liebt mein frohes Herz?
