Und die schimmernden, schlummernden Seen!
 
Und wie jauchzet mein Herz, wie tönt und rauscht
Im Busen der goldne Gesang!
Wie steh' ich verwandelt, wie schau' ich berauscht
Die leuchtende Welt entlang!
 
O wachse nun fort, du Schwingenlust;
O du schwellende Lebensglut!
Seitdem diese Brust an trauter Brust,
Seit Mund an Mund geruht!
