Вышел зараня дед
На гумно молотить:
«Выходи-ка, сосед,
Старику подсобить».

Положили гурьбой
Золотые снопы.
На гумне вперебой
Зазвенели цепы.

И ворочает дед
Немолоченый край:
«Постучи-ка, сосед,
Выбивай каравай».

И под сильной рукой
Вылетает зерно.
Тут и солод с мукой,
И на свадьбу вино.

За тяжелой сохой
Эта доля дана.
Тучен колос сухой —
Будет брага хмельна.
